“Pause” might not be a popular word, but it holds great power. We all need breaks in life, whether it’s to grab popcorn during our favourite movie, sip water on a trek, take a few calming breaths during a workout or yoga session, enjoy a coffee while preparing for an exam or presentation, or enjoy beautiful roadside scenery on a long drive. Sometimes, these pauses bring more joy than the main event itself.
Pauses and breaks renew our journeys, refresh our spirits, and help us experience life more fully. Pauses are like salt in the food; often unnoticed when present, but will not enjoy the food without it. Many times without pauses, we can’t finish the journey or meet our goals.
Though they may seem insignificant, pauses remind us of our journey’s purpose. They let us look back where & why we started, filling us with pride and motivation, and offering hope for the road ahead. A pause is a moment of reflection, a chance to see the whole picture, celebrate our achievements, and find the drive to do better. Sometimes they can mark the beginning of a new and beautiful story. So, if you’re slowing down on your journey, it’s perfectly fine. Embrace this pause, and you’ll come back even stronger.
A pause can hold different meanings for different people. For me, it’s like a guru, a magic window that helps me reflect and guides me to the right path. What do pauses or breaks mean to you?
